Isn't this just inline with government policy, not sure this is down to the club.

Of course it’s down to the club , who else controls the season ticket prices.

An OAP is defined by government.

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition
My old man turns 65 in July and I was going to get him an OAP season ticket, so this has somewhat fucked these plans up!

Some other clubs are sticking at 65

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition
The club gives concessions to OAPs the age of an OAP is now 66 not sure exactly what they've done wrong.

Would piss me off too were I turning 65 this year, but that's on the government

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition
If other clubs can leave it at 65 then so should we. Not everything is about squeezing a few quid out of supporters. We can sometimes take the moral high ground.

The government gave plenty of notice that the pension age was going to increase , the majority of clubs have kept it at 65 , Sullivan has chosen to increase the age to 66 without any warning . So what happens when a away club which keeps OAP tickets at 65, buys tickets will West Ham give them the OAP discount and will the 65 year old West Han away fans get a discount for games.

The season ticket prices are controlled by the club , it was 65 last year when the government age was 66 , so why didn’t the club change it then. If Sullivan said when people renewed there season tickets last season that they were going to change the age limit then fair enough, but to sneak it in without any form of notice they have no respect for the fans .

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition
A clubs ticket pricing structure is not down to the government - if we wanted to we could set the "Senior Rate" starting at 60 if we wanted to. But this club just keeps shooting itself in the foot. What does Brady do for her £1m a year salary apart from destabilise any relationships we may have have with the stadium owners and fans...

Even if you not 65 , please sign the petition this is just greed by the club and it lets them know we won’t be taken for mugs , it cost nothing but time to sign .

Even if this OAP age rise does not effect you the price rises will.
But even if you are not a season ticket holder you should still be able to have your say.
Fact is that the club have taken the piss and if we do not stand up and let them know what we think they will keep on taking the piss.
The time to act is now.

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition

I wonder how many this change effects?

Anyway, if you’re not an OAP why SHOULD you get a discount? Historically I can see how the drop in income would be a reasonable justification for the discount.

Re: OAP season tickets age change , petition
I dunno...

... and why should anyone over 60 benefit from free public transport in London?

I think this is a mealy mouthed decision by the club. There's absolutely no need to align it with the state pension age.

Presumably it'll move up to 67 and then 68 in time

It's cunty
